These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Boston Handyman Co. website (“Site”) and the handyman services we provide (“Services”). By using our Site or booking our Services, you agree to these Terms. Boston Handyman Co. is an owner-operated handyman business based in Melrose, Massachusetts.

1. Bookings and quotes

Any booking request, quote request, or message submitted through the Site is a request — not a confirmed appointment or contract. An appointment is only confirmed once we contact you (by phone or text) and agree on a time. Prices shown on the Site (such as “from $99” or hourly rates) are starting estimates. The final price for any job is agreed with you before work begins.

2. Scope of work

We provide general handyman services, including mounting, furniture assembly, minor repairs, and — by quote — larger projects such as painting, drywall, flooring, and cabinet work. We do not perform licensed-trade work: no electrical, plumbing, or HVAC. Such work legally requires a licensed tradesperson in Massachusetts, and we will refer you elsewhere for it.

3. Pricing and payment

Flat-rate jobs are priced as listed; custom work is billed at our hourly rate with a stated minimum; and larger projects are quoted after review. Materials may be billed in addition to labor. Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We do not collect payment through this website.

4. Satisfaction and warranty

We stand behind our work. If something isn't right, contact us promptly and we'll make it right within a reasonable time. This does not cover damage caused by normal wear, misuse, or work performed by others.

5. Cancellations

Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel a confirmed appointment, so we can offer the slot to another customer.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Massachusetts law, Boston Handyman Co.'s liability for any claim arising from the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific work in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Website use

The Site and its content are provided “as is” for informational purposes. We may update service descriptions, pricing, and content at any time without notice.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
